A former NBC News reporter took his investigative work about Seal Team Six to another news outlet, The Intercept, after he said it became clear Brian Williams’ false claims would prevent the story from running, Poynter reported.

According to Poynter, NPR’s ombudsman Elizabeth Jensen announced Thursday that NPR will now make its line editors “responsible for keeping up-to-date with the monthly lists of funders and adding any needed disclosures to their reports.” The revision to the financial disclosure rules came after questions regarding conflicts of interest.
