Spring 2025 Overview

This year marked significant growth for the Center for Media Ethics and Literacy. We expanded our reach and deepened our impact across the University of Arkansas and the broader community through public events and journalism training.

Key accomplishments:

  • 20 Guest Speakers shared expert insights on emerging issues in media ethics.

  • 400+ Students Engaged through lectures, panels, and interactive discussions.

  • 6 Public Events fostered community dialogue.

  • The Lemke Journalism Project, led by Director Gina Shelton, provided over 60 high school students with hands-on media literacy training in collaboration with journalism faculty, students, alumni, and professionals.

Through every initiative, the Center remained focused on equipping individuals with the tools to navigate today’s complex media environment ethically and critically.
